10 / 10

To celebrate Double Tenth Day (10/10), we got all dressed up and got on the subway!  Classy and environmentally conscious.

The party, hosted by the Taiwanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, was held here -- an old Japanese palace...

complete with red carpet.

The foyer presented a 12' tall model of Taiwan made of fresh fruit.

At the edge of the palace garden...

We schmoozed with various diplomats, drank fancy wine, and ate from the most overwhelming buffet I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing.

Oh, and the President of Taiwan was there, too.

Stuffed and tipsy, we gathered outside for a final group photo before getting back on the bus to Yilan.
